Travelling in a group, with a dog or a bicycle
Are you travelling with someone else? Find out how to add another person, a dog or your bike to your ticket.

Bicycles
- bicycles are permitted on regional and suburban trains
- no bicycles are allowed on busses and trams
- bicycle ticket required during peak times (weekdays 6 a.m.– 9 a.m.)
Bicycle tickets
If you are travelling with your bike on a regional or suburban train in the RVF transport network on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., you must buy an extra ticket:
Single ticket adult within the required price category
2x4-Fahrtenkarte adult within the required price category
Punktekarte validated for the required price category
Are you travelling outside of the network area? You will need a Fahrrad-Tageskarte (bicycle day ticket) during peak hours. Available from ticket machines by clicking on the menu items: Gesamtes Angebot / Service+Zusatzkarten / Fahrradtageskarte Nahverkehr.

How to store your bicycle on the train
- WEG and DB Regio suburban trains and Rheintalbahn trains have multi-purpose and bicycle compartments.
- Look out for the bicycle symbol located below the window next to the door.
- Once on the train, secure your bicycle.
- Passengers have priority. Our staff are authorised to reject bicycles if there is insufficient space.
Travelling with children
Accompanied children under the age of 7 travel free of charge.
Tip
Folding bicycles are permitted on busses, trams and trains free of charge, provided they are folded up.
Note
The SBG bicycle busses to Feldberg and Notschrei are equipped with bicycle racks, subject to additional charge.
Dogs
- for travelling within RVF network area, your dog needs a children’s ticket: Single ticket child, 2x4-Fahrtenkarte child or Regiokarte Kind for frequent travel
- small dogs in carrying bags and assistance dogs travel free of charge
- please consider using a muzzle to protect other passengers
- Tageskarte day ticket: includes child or another person, or a dog
- Welcomekarte: Welcomekarte child
- Regiokarte for adults: Child or dog included on Sundays and public holidays Exception: Regiokarte Basis
Tickets including additional children or dogs
- Tageskarte Solo+ or Duo+ day ticket: any number of own children (proof required) or up to four children or dogs included
- Solo+: up to five children included
- Dual 1/ 1 combi: children under the age of five free of charge
- Dual 2/ 2 combi: Two children (age 4 – 11) or dogs included
- Regio-Elsass-Ticket: no children or dogs included
Want to bring anything else on board?
- pushchairs are free of charge
- assistants accompanying passengers with a disability pass B travel free of charge
- walking aids or similar free of charge
- E-scooters permitted on trams and suburban trains. e-scooters may be brought on busses at the driver’s discretion.
- Passengers have priority. Our staff are authorised to reject the transport of large or dangerous items.
