Where can I use the SemesterTicket?
The SemesterTicket is valid throughout the entire RVF transport network which includes the:
- The City of Freiburg
- The Breisgau-Upper Black Forest district and
- The district of Emmendingen
Holders of the SemesterTicket are entitled to use all buses and trains (second class only) of the 19 transport companies which are members of the regional tariff association.
Who can buy the SemesterTicket?
This offer is valid for students from the following institutions:- Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg
- Angell Akademie Freiburg GmbH*
- Evangelische Hochschule Freiburg*
- Freiburg International Business College
- Hochschule für Kunst, Design und populäre Musik
- Hochschule für Musik Freiburg
- International University of Cooperative Education
- Katholische Hochschule Freiburg*
- Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg
The SemesterTicket is only valid in combination with a valid student identity card.
How much does it cost?
The ticket price is only EUR 79,00 per semester (based on an increase in semester fees).How long is it valid?
It is valid for one full semester (including the semester holidays!)Where can I buy it?
- VAG pluspunkt customer service centre at Bertoldsbrunnen
- Südbadenbus customer service centres in Freiburg und Neustadt
- DB travel centres and agencies (*not applicable to students at institutions marked with an asterisk).
Students at the Albert Ludwig University and Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg can also buy the SemesterTicket:
- in the VAG Onlineshop
- at DB machines (also applies to students at the Hochschule für Musik und the International University of Cooperative Education)
What else should I know?
If you have a valid student identity card from one of the institutions listed above, you are entitled to use buses and trains in the RVF transport network free of charge every day from 7:30 pm.
The SemesterTicket is not transferrable, additional passengers may not travel on this ticket and it cannot be refunded or exchanged. The SemesterTicket does not entitle you to travel first class.
The use of night bus services (such as Safer Traffic) is not covered by the SemesterTicket.
